Overigens nog contact opgenomen met ABT en ik kreeg verrassend genoeg dit antwoord:
Dear Sirs!
The BWA engines are all well known for having good power and torque. The software can not be the problem. So if this car really has not the anounced power. Please check the following steps.
1. Read out the article number of the ECU. There must be shown: 1Z0ABT115A_A010. If the ECU shows 1Z0907115A_0010 then there is not tuning on the ECU and it has to be programmed again.
2. Please note that at least 98 octane fuel has to be on board. To make sure that the right fuel is on board please have a test ride in 4th (at least 3rd) gear, accelerate under full throttle from 1500rpm up to 6000 rpm, read the measuring block for ignition knocking correction (020). If the ignition retardation is more than -4.5 degrees the fuel is insufficient or there is a leak in the air intake or the crankcase system.
3. If the malfunction indicator lamp is burning have a look into the fault memory and check the parts listet in there.
4. A well known weak point at this type of engine is the dump valve. Please remove it from the car, open it carfully and check the diaphragm (see the attached picture).
Best regards!

Is er iemand in de buurt die de ECU uit kan lezen? Kan dit met VAG-com, of VCDS? Heb er zelf totaal geen verstand van..
