Prestigious award for champion Hänninen
European champion Juho Hänninen has seen off opposition from Sébastien Loeb and Mads Østberg to win a prestigious rally award in Romania.
Hänninen has been chosen by Rally Magazin as the Rally Driver of the Year at a ceremony, backed by ŠKODA, in Bucharest on 26 November. The Finn took four victories during his successful title campaign with ŠKODA Motorsport and also triumphed three times in the IRC.

In addition to Loeb and Østberg, other nominees included Chris Atkinson, Craig Breen and Sébastien Ogier.
Next year’s revamped FIA European Rally Championship begins with the Jännerrallye in Austria from 3-5 January.
